Kayak Tours!
Explore the coast like the great chiefs of ancient Hawaii.
A part of everyday life in coastal villages, Hawaiian canoes were used for fishing, travel and exploring the shore. Wa’a, is the Hawaiian name for canoe and is still used in modern day sports and ocean activity.
Our 2-hour kayak tour is a great way to explore the lush windward side of the Big Island and is suitable for the entire family. Undergoing annual training and certifications, our local tour guides insure the best and safest tours possible and are considered some of the top watermen on the island.
Wailuku, meaning river of destruction, is one of Hawaii’s largest river systems and runs from the base of Mauna Kea all the way to the shores of Hilo Bay. Learn old stories of the historic town as you venture upstream to a secluded waterfall cove, a perfect setting for a swim and photo taking.
So join our local tour guides for some fun in the sun and explore Hawaii's largest river system by kayak.

This is the ideal rental for the surf adventurer at heart.
"Striking photography adorned the walls of The Surf Cottage, which gave the rental a unique and unmistakable Hawaii surfstyle feel. The artwork showcased the history and culture of the island's surfing roots and was a wonderful extension of the cottage's excellent location in downtown Hilo."
Lauren Rolland — World Surfing League, HI
Best location in downtown Hilo.
"We couldn't ask for a better Airbnb for our stay in Hilo. Close to the airport and all shops, freshly renovated, beautifully decorated and great hosts that are more than willing to help make the most of our stay on the Big Island."
